Why did you choose to work at Rainbow Pediatric Center? When looking for a position after residency, I was searching for a pediatric clinic where the providers were not only passionate about primary care, but also on education and advocacy for the children in the Jacksonville/Saint John’s community. It was very apparent to me that Dr. Reddy and her team care about just that, and I’m so grateful I get to contribute!
What do you enjoy about working with kids? What’s not to enjoy?? They are so honest (and with that often comes many laughs) and are not afraid to say what’s on their mind. I love getting to watch how much my patients grow and learn every time I see them. My goal is to help each child I care for become the best, healthiest versions of themselves, and it’s so rewarding to see children developing into wonderful, responsible, caring human beings.
What is your area of expertise? I enjoy taking care of children of all ages – from the very healthy/prevention visits to those with medical complexities.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not at Rainbow Pediatrics? I love to dance! I grew up dancing pre-professional ballet and contemporary and have transitioned to ballroom dancing for fun with my husband. I also love all things outdoors in the sunshine and near the ocean.
If you only had 3 words to describe yourself what would they be? Enthusiastic, compassionate, witty
What is your favorite children’s book? Do I have to pick just one?
My favorite children’s book growing up was Love you Forever by Robert Musch.
My favorite children’s book as an adult is The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery.
Tell me about your family? I have a wonderful, loving husband who is a Flight Surgeon doctor in the Navy. We have an ADORABLE and cuddly 2-year-old Cavapoo named Ahsoka Tano—extra brownie points to my patients who can tell me who she was named after (I’ll give you an extra coin at your visit!). We are very fortunate to have my family living close by in the North Florida region, as well.
One interesting fact about yourself? I once starred as Dorothy in a children’s ballet—well, co-starred with Toto.
