Why did you choose to work at Rainbow Pediatric Center? I was searching for practices that strive to provide the best guideline-based care to their patients while still maintaining personal relationships with their patients. I loved that RPC is always adapting to the latest recommendations and open to new ideas. I met the staff at RPC during the interview process and clicked instantly. I felt like I had known them forever, and we hit it off immediately. The rest is history!

What do you enjoy about working with kids? First of all, I love to laugh, and rarely do I meet a child who doesn’t make me laugh at some point in the visit. I love getting to know the whole family and being able to follow them as they grow and learn.

What is your area of expertise? I completed my residency in general pediatrics and love seeing all types of patients. The areas that hold a special place in my heart are ADHD, anxiety, depression, and LGBTQIA+ youth.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not at Rainbow Pediatrics? Travel, read autobiographies (mainly of comedians and musicians), listen to live music, garden, watch movies and documentaries.

If you only had 3 words to describe yourself what would they be? Friendly, funny, compassionate

Why did you choose to work at Rainbow Pediatric Center? Dr. Reddy’s vision for Rainbow Pediatrics as well as the multi-clinic rapid expansion and Medical Home practice model resonated with me. Rainbow Pediatrics reach will expand across southern Jacksonville, allowing our patients easier access to a clinic nearby. The addition of the new Asthma clinic and Concussion clinics as well as others down the road will help us to serve our patient population more holistically without referring them out for everything. Also, the integration of web based video visits allows greater access to our patient population for things like ADHD rechecks. RPC continues to be on the cutting edge of pediatrics in terms of technology and evidence based medicine and who wouldn’t want to be a part of that!

What do you enjoy about working with kids? From the moment I decided to practice medicine, there wasn’t a doubt in my mind that pediatrics was the field for me. I truly love growing up with families and assisting them in raising their children. Only in pediatrics can you watch someone grow from an infant into a young adult and hope to have an influence in their lives. Pediatrics is a relationship and not just a doctor’s visit. Instead of just speaking with the parent during the entire visit, I really try and bring the child into the visit with funny stories or jokes and try and remove any nervousness for the encounter.

What is your area of expertise? I’m well trained in all aspects of pediatrics, but my passion is weight management and fighting the obesity epidemic in America. My vision would be an all encompassing model for our at risk population including medical, nutritional and physical activity. I hope to work in collaboration with a local gym to incorporate free fitness classes by prescription.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not at Rainbow Pediatrics? I really enjoy spending time with my family. At one point our 4 children were all under 5 years old and boy was that challenging! Quite frankly, it still is a challenge! When we can get around to some time off, we enjoy all of the activities of Nocatee. We also enjoy the beach and boating. Personally I enjoy exercise and tennis. Once we move, we will be heavily involved in our local church, Celebration Church. I teach Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University through the church and counsel individuals and families in their financial planning.

If you only had 3 words to describe yourself what would they be? Energetic, Trustworthy, Compassionate

What is your favorite children’s book? Gosh, it used to be 5 little monkeys jumping on the bed, but my mom bought the kids a book for Christmas that has us in stitches every time we read it. I let the kids choose books every night and Judah’s book is The Wonky Donkey. It’s hilarious!

Tell me about your family? My beautiful bride of 7 years is Monica. Then we have our 4 children, Lundyn Eliana (5), Marshall Isaiah (3), Judah Alexander (18 mo), Elly Jubilee (6 mo). I am originally from Savannah, GA and Monica is from Poplar Bluff, MO. We met on Eharmony in 2010 while I was in Residency in Oklahoma and She was singing in Branson, MO for Shoji Tabuchi, a variety show. Monica and I’s first kiss was at the altar, don’t tell me Chivalry is dead!

One interesting fact about yourself? I once ate Chicken Claw when I visited China.

Why did you choose to work at Rainbow Pediatric Center?   Dr. Reddy has a respected reputation among colleagues and I enjoyed listening to her weekly parenting talks on The Promise radio station.  Growing up in Jacksonville & working at Wolfson Children’s Hospital for 9 years, I am very familiar with most of the area pediatricians. When I chose to leave my position as and ARNP after 13 years I was very selective.  Dr. Reddy was at the top of my list and I was very blessed that she had a position available.

What do you enjoy about working with kids?   Kids are absolutely hilarious! Yes, they scream and cry but it  is such a great feeling to help a scared child overcome their fears or anxiety. What other job can you put a huge smile on a child’s crying face with just a lollipop?

What is your area of expertise? I enjoy teaching parents about how to become the best parent they can be for their child whether it be providing nutritional information, medical diagnosis and treatment or counseling a family through a difficult time. I also enjoy working with overweight teens to help build their self-esteem and achieve a healthier lifestyle.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not at Rainbow Pediatrics? I love being a mom! Nothing makes my day more than being able to drop my kids off at school or meet them at the bus stop. During the warmer months you will find our family boating or cheering on our little swimmers. I love crafting and cooking with my daughter or snuggling up on the couch for family movie night.

If you only had 3 words to describe yourself what would they be? Organized, Compassionate, Dedicated

What is your favorite children’s book? Sleepy Sheep’s Goodnight book. After four kids, I feel like I have this book memorized as I have read it almost every night over the course of the past 14 years! I love the way the book is written to help kids calm and wind down for bed with a Christian theme.

Tell me about your family? We are your modern day Brady bunch with a crazy mix of littles from preschool to high school!  Nothing like dealing with puberty and potty training!

One interesting fact about yourself? When I lived up in Amelia Island during middle school, I got to be an extra in the movie Pippi Longstocking. If you squint, turn your head sideways and look on the stairs of the church during the ice cream scene you will find me.
